Assistant dance instructor

Grace Herring

My name is Grace Herring and I am a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a proud member of the UNC Carolina Girls Dance Team. Dance has always been a huge part of my life. I began dancing at the age of three years old at Centre of Performing Arts in Graham, NC where I trained extensively in a variety of styles such as ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, and acro. During my time as a competitive dancer, I have earned numerous awards and recognition such as multiple scholarships, first place overalls, and two national titles. Acro quickly became my favorite style of dance as I started working with Eleni at a very young age. Under the instruction of Miss Eleni, I developed confidence, strong technique, and the love for challenging myself to try new things. My favorite dance skills I have learned with Eleni are my layout, elbow stand, aerials, and backhand-spring to my head!! Eleni has been such a mentor in my life and someone who I can always count on. She is not only my coach, but one of my close friends. I am thankful for the opportunity to work with Eleni and continue to grow under her mentorship.
